| November 2004 | The idea is put to the LSDT The Local Service Delivery Team was DMBC's monthly get-together for many organisations in the area. Community Radio was an idea put forward at that time to see if it could be done in the local area |
| January 2005 | Sub-Committee A communications sub-group was formed to discuss the idea and brought in a lot of interested parties. |
| February 2005 | Project Officer Through funding obtained via DMBC and NDC, a project officer was appointed to co-ordinate the project |
| April 2005 | Premises The group arranged to rent premises at 5 Finkle Court, which would be the home of TMCR for the next 21 months |
| May 2005 | The Studio The studio started to take shape with a custom built frame to keep the noise out, the music library was started and orders placed for the equipment |
| July 2005 | Noises from within Carefully moving the painter out of the way, the studio was fitted with the broadcast equipment and switched on for the first time, only two weeks before going live. |
| July 16th 2005 | TMCR on 87.9FM The transmitter roared into life and we started a 28 day run on the air. Ed MIliband MP officially opened the station. |
| August 12th 2005 | Closedown It was over far too quickly, 4 weeks of broadcasts with a great team of people involved. One computer crash, which took us off the air for a while in the early hours of the final day |
| Since then | We were open through to January 2007 at Finkle Court, although not every day, for training sessions and to plan the way forward. |

| April 23rd 2007 | New funding obtained We've had a bit of a lean year, but can now announce that WE ARE BACK with new premises and ambitious plans! |
| May 1st 2007 | Move into new premises at The Winning Post, re-construct the studio and office and make plans... |
| May 14th 2007 | Re-connection of telephone line and Internet completed, find somewhere to put everything we brought with us. |
| May 21st 2007 | Re-instate our satellite feed for news. We have a fully working studio again. |
| June 22nd 2007 | OfCom confirm they have received our application for the five year license |
| June 24th 2007 | Our online webshop goes live, we will receive commission for sales originated via our webshop site. |
| June 25th 2006 | Our AGM at The Winning Post covered a lot of ground and we've a positive viewpoint of where we want to go with this project. We're going to launch a new training program for the 12-18 year olds in the coming weeks. |
| September 18th 2007 | The company name Thorne-Moorends Community Radio Limited was registered. |
| December 18th | Private limited company dissolved, was not the correct type for our group. A new company limited by guarantee will be formed. |
| December 20th | OfCom announce that TMCR have been offered a five year community radio license. |
| January 2008 | New company, Limited by Guarantee, formed - TMCRFM Limited |
| May 2008 | Funding for project manager runs out, again. Back to voluntary manned only. |
| July 2008 | Music in the Park and Thorne Festival events attended by TMCR staff. |
| August 2008 | Working on many angles to try and gain new funding. |
